Spinning wheel oil

Do you have a bottle of spinning wheel oil close to hand? Ashford recommend oiling your wheel before each time you use it. That's probably a little bit OTT. But if you haven't oiled it for a while, then you'll find that it'll make things noticeably smoother and quieter.

Ashford's spinning wheel oil is just the right consistency and it's odourless and clear, so it won't stain your wood.

Tin of Antiquax - natural

The original Antiquax, made in England. A superior blend of waxes including beeswax and carnuaba. It has been specially formulated to resist finger marking and to penetrate and nourish all wood surfaces.

Use Antiquax regularly to maintain a deep lustre on your wood and to prevent the natural wood grain from drying out in centrally heated rooms.

Antiquax Paste Wax is natural in colour and is suitable for all wood shades including the lighter coloured New Zealand beech of Ashford products.
