Happy New Year!
We're certainly in the middle of a big freeze, but I've been out walking
and found the frosty, snowy scenes inspiration for some fibre blending. It's
also been an incentive to get the needles out and get cracking on some warm and
chunky projects!

News from HandSpinner.co.uk
Thank you if you wrote to tell me that you enjoyed the advent calendar. I
had such good feedback, my head's been buzzing with ideas for offers and
giveaways for 2010. It was such hard work, I don't think I can manage any more
daily offers, but every month I will do something special it might be a prize
draw, free postage or reduced prices. For January's offer, read on...

Your answers will help me to make handspinner.co.uk better. It should
only take a couple of minutes, and to thank you for your trouble I'll put the
names of all entries into a hat. At the end of January 2010, to the first name
I draw I'll send a competition lazy kate and throw in some fibre as well.

If good old paper magazines are more your thing, then the new issue of
Ashford's The Wheel magazine is a 75th Jubilee edition. It's
gone out to subscribers and as usual, I will have a limited number of
complimentary issues to send out with orders.

I can also recommend Spin-off. I was a little nervous
about paying in dollars to an american website, but the magazines have arrived in
reasonable time and certainly are a good read.

Pick of the blogs
Blogpick: Knottygnome
tried core spinning, didn't enjoy it and isn't fond of the result. I've tried
it with disastrous results so am dead impressed - and this looks pretty good to
me.
