The premise for this joke was originally to be about the fact that on Twitter you have to keep messages short. This makes it a bad choice for Maureen who can't spell and can't keep anything short. By the time I'd added in the 'carrotspace' malepropism (which came from listening to something over a bluetooth connection, which skipped and produced the word) and the visual gag about Crow flying into the wind turbine, as if he'd heard the conversation and been distracted, the joke had changed and was about Crow being a gossip. I may still return to the original premise of Maureen getting into a lot of bother trying to tweet.
If you like Yvonne then the good news is that you can support the author, buy the image to keep and avail yourself of some really useful kit, such as mugs, bags, coasters, mouse mats, postcards, greetings cards, even posters and prints.
Don't see the item you'd like with the cartoon you'd like? Just email me, I'll be happy to arrange it for you.
Maureen: What does 140 carrotspaces mean?
Yvonne: Character spaces. Have you signed up for Twitter? It means you have to keep your messages short. What have you typed?
Maureen: Typed? I thought 'tweet' meant tell Crow. In a matter of minutes everyone has heard the message.
You're welcome to share any Yvonne image on the web and social media, exactly as it appears (ie without editing the image at all). It must keep the copyright notice below the box (which is part of the image, so it will remain as long as you don't crop it off).
