As a keen walker, I'm used to gear being made from ever more hi-tec materials. And as a spinner of wool I was intrigued by a new smart material called Smartwool. It turns out to be merino wool, a particularly fine wool, but wool straight off sheep nonetheless. So today's cartoon is straight from life - manufacturers are marketing wool as as an even smarter new alternative to the smart new man-made materials they'd been using before. As if we haven't been spinning wool for thousands of years. And Crow - a rumour monger? Surely not.
